Malta

It is situated in the center of the Mediterranean Sea. The Country has an excellent reputation for its beautiful climate, friendly people, low crime rate, and a quality environment. The archipelago, a small but strategically important group of islands, has played a crucial part in the struggles for dominance of a succession of powers throughout its long and stormy history. As a result of centuries of foreign control by numerous nations, including the Phoenicians, Romans, Greeks, Arabs, Normans, Sicilians, Swabians, Aragonese, Hospitallers, French, and British, Maltese civilization has been shaped.
